At the beginning of my Corporate Publishing class, we had to create postcards to inform parents about the Smithsonian Science stories and how they would be informative to children. We had a specific color palette of using the brand colors for the Smithsonian and not needing to alter the brand for it would go against brand guidelines. While simple, I wanted the front of the postcard to be eye-capturing to the children and get the parents' attention. I placed a message on the back of the postcard for parents to understand the intention of the postcard being received. The design was created on Adobe InDesign and all contents were from the Smithsonian website.
