Kaitlyn Hannan contacted me to capture behind-the-scenes photography for her project, 'Dusty's Revenge.' enjoy being on student sets and I was able to combine my passion for film and photography into one. The behind-the-scenes photography was captured by using the timeless charm of 35mm film, I experimented with different settings and lighting on the three-day set for the comedic western short film. Working alongside other students from Elon University, we created a collaborative effort and the passion invested in bringing Kaitlyn Hannan's vision to life. The resulting behind-the-scenes photography offers viewers a glimpse into the immersive world of 'Dusty's Revenge.'
In addition to utilizing traditional 35mm film to document 'Dusty's Revenge,' I embarked on a creative exploration by capturing select moments on Black and White 35mm film. These carefully curated photographs offer a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes dynamics of the filmmaking process. Some of these film pictures capture the crew working hard on set, the stars of the short film arm-wrestling, and the church setting looking ominous on Black and White 35mm film.
I captured many behind-the-scene photos on 35mm film but my love for film started with my trustworthy, Instax Wide Polaroid Camera. I used the Fujifilm Instax Film to capture some polaroids on set and I like for a polaroid to develop within minutes and for many people to be impressed with the creative eye.
I learned so much by being on this set and admired the creative vision that Kaitlyn Hannan and I am honored to partner with her to capture behind-the-scenes for her set. More designs for the short film will be posted on my portfolio in order to promote the film to film festivals and Elon University.
